Our family is extremely concerned and worried about the developments of the past few days.

Imran khan informed us in jail: "I am concerned that they have suddenly changed my security guards at midnight."

When asked, he was told they that they had gone on leave for 2 months.

Tuesday is family meeting day. Our family meeting was cancelled, as was Shah Mahmood Qureshi's Monday family meeting.
This evening, we were informed that Al Qadir case in jail court has also been cancelled.

Quite simply, we are very concerned about his safety and well-being and can never rule out the threat to his life.

There have already been several assassination attempts on him in the past few years.

As a Candidate in the Election and being guardian of the Votes of all Voters in my Constituency regardless for whomever the voters have voted for I must share that as per Form 45 received so far from 42 polling stations out of total 159 stations in #PS110, #PTI is currently leading, #JI second and we are third and now results of remaining polling stations are being delayed or denied including using tactics like not starting the counting or Polling Staff making ridiculous excuses that they don't have hardcopy of Form 45 to fill and give to polling agents.

A lot Govt officers who served as Presiding Officers in 2018 elections have not even been contacted this time and strangely several polling staff are being engaged from private institutions like teachers at Pvt Unis who neither experience of supervising polling nor have never been provided any training of elections day.

#Pakistan🇵🇰 #IHRF's official statement. The International Human Rights Foundation has conducted a meticulous review of the legal proceedings against Mr Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister, and Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the former Foreign Minister. Our findings reveal a disturbing disregard for the basic principles of justice and due process. We note with deep concern the lack of basic procedural safeguards in their trials. The denial of access to their chosen legal counsel, the closure of the trial to the public and the prohibition of cross-examination of prosecution witnesses are flagrant violations of rights enshrined in international law, including the right to a fair trial and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

The charges against Mr Khan and Mr Qureshi appear to be grossly exaggerated, the allegations remain unproven and suggest a political undertone to their prosecution. Such practices not only undermine the credibility of the legal system, but also violate the principles of justice and fairness at the heart of international human rights law. The lack of transparency and impartiality in the conduct of these trials casts a long shadow over the rule of law and the administration of justice in the country concerned.

In light of these findings, the International Human Rights Foundation unequivocally calls for the immediate quashing of the trial proceedings against Mr Imran Khan and Mr Shah Mehmood Qureshi. We call for the withdrawal of all charges and their immediate release from custody. We also call for a thorough and impartial investigation to determine the criminal liability of those involved in orchestrating this miscarriage of justice. The Foundation stands firm in its commitment to uphold the principles of justice and human rights and urges the international community to join in solidarity to redress these grave injustices.

We presented our demands to the state to end the Baloch genocide and stop human rights violations in Balochistan. We gave a seven-day ultimatum, which will be completed tomorrow.

Throughout these seven days, no state
representative has approached us, nor has the state shown any responsibility for this serious issue. Instead, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has threatened victims' families and peaceful protestors, and Islamabad police are harassing us every day.

In response to the state's irresponsible behavior, we call for a shutdown strike tomorrow across Pakistan. We appeal to the business community and people throughout Pakistan to support our struggle.

As we appeal to the international community to be our voice around the world against human rights violations in Balochistan, we need your voice.

🇵🇰 Pakistan: @Amnesty strongly condemns the arrest and detention of at least 20 participants of the Baloch march on 17 December in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab.

The protestors, many of them women and families of the forcibly disappeared, peacefully held a sit-in and, subsequently, started a long march from Balochistan to Islamabad demanding justice and accountability after the extrajudicial killing of Balach Mola Bakhsh and three others by the Pakistan Counterterrorism Department (CTD) in Turbat, Balochistan on 23 November 2023. Balach, a 24 year old Baloch man, was taken by law enforcement on 29 October and was in CTD custody on remand when extrajudicially executed.

The protestors have been released, however, 3 separate cases against the organizers and participants have been filed.

Amnesty International demands that the Pakistani authorities:
- Immediately and unconditionally drop all charges against all those charged solely for exercising their right to freedom of expression.
- Conduct an impartial investigation of all extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances, particularly in Balochistan, in line with international standards.
- Compensate families of victims of extrajudicial killings and those forcibly disappeared.

How to successfully ignore the ongoing human rights violations and political victimization while maintaining the facade of being pro-democracy and anti establishment? Pick and choose petitions which focus on the past, which scrutinize the role of retired generals former dictators and congratulate each other on being "guardians" of the constitution as regular affirmations help maintain this delusional state. I repeat that the Supreme Court is fooling no one but itself.

“The pain and suffering this war has unleashed is unimaginable...We are deeply traumatised by the ongoing situation. But if anyone thinks stoking antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred is the best response, you are wrong. We can only solve this conflict in the long term if we stop dehumanising each other. Please don’t make this conflict even worse by importing its tensions into the UK - instead people should channel their energies into lobbying the government to support peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.”
