Executive Director -Transparency International Sri Lanka, Attorney-at-Law, hope and work for a Sri Lanka with justice, integrity, peace and human rights.
I am now looking forward to embracing new opportunities to work towards enhancing good governance, democracy, justice and human rights and am open to considering leadership opportunities to start my new journey.
After much consideration, I have decided to step down from my role as the Executive Director of Transparency International Sri Lanka, following four incredible years leading the fight against corruption.
Leading the organization through such a challenging time in the country has been a remarkable experience, and I am grateful to the team for their hard work and to everyone who supported us.
The authority has taken a very broad approach of interpretation to redact crucial information such as bank balances and dates, in complete disregard of the spirit and intention of the law.

Increasing by more than 25% the salary of all civil servants before elections is by no means good governance. It is an attempt by the government to influence the elections’ outcome.
The #SupremeCourt today (July 2) held that the Clauses 32(3) and 32(4) of the #PublicFinancialManagementBill are unconstitutional, and shall only be passed with a Special Majority of Parliament and be approved by the People at a Referendum. (1/5)
