As a father of two daughters that are about Hind Rajab's age, her story hit me particularly hard.

I cannot begin to imagine the distress she went through in her last moments, highlighting the complete absence of humanity in what Israel inflicts on the Palestinians.

At 6 years old she managed to call an ambulance from a car that had been targeted by the IDF (you can see the car in the video 👇). She was wounded but had miraculously survived, surrounded by the dead bodies of her aunt, uncle and her 3 cousins. She stayed on the phone during three hours, telling health services she was "so scared" (you can hear a recording of the call in the video).

A Red Crescent ambulance was sent to get her. The ambulance was never heard from again.

10 days after Hind Rajab's car was found with 6 decomposing bodies inside, including hers. The ambulance that had been dispatched to fetch her was also found, utterly destroyed (you can see it in the video) with the bodies of 2 medics inside.

Immensely revolting.

While attending to a stab chest this side, they call you for a severe Covid patient in the other side. While dealing with that, a pregnant lady comes in bleeding and in shock. We aren’t God, we don’t just choose who dies easily. We care. To say “just do your job” is insulting
