@laylanaiim I fully relate! People tell me I am strong. I tell them it would be nice to be complimented on something other than how well I deal with pain, abuse, and trauma.
I just want to experience a season of life where I'm not always recovering from something. It feels like there's always an ugly truth I'm having to confront, a belief I'm having to unlearn, more work to be done. It's exhausting and lonely. And yeah, I get that life isn't fair and that you have to just keep going. But i keep being resilient when what I'd really like is relief.
Every time I get on Pinterest, I want to chop my hair, redo my room, buy a whole new wardrobe, get 5 tiny tattoos, start exercising and dieting and try 20 new recipes😭😭

Remember when teachers used to take us to the library and librarians taught us how to conduct proper research? We’d then be assigned a topic and expected to consult at least three books before writing a report. We need to bring that back and keep tablets out of classrooms.
