@claytooine@SlopHq require a drivers test every 5 years for people over the age of 70. Can change the x years and minimum age based on accident statistics by age, but clearly a lot of old people need their licenses taken away. My grandparents included, for their own safety & others
@wnchvstr@LookAroundCafe yes, the toxic masculinity that his father employs would not be the same as the kinds of pressures a daughter would have. However, with that man, it's likely that a vice grip of patriarchal control would be placed on his daughter instead. I doubt she would be better off than Neil
@jdcmedlock mamdani has shown what a capable government can do in just a couple short months. Americans hate taxes because they don't see their taxes doing anything, or they're the rich minority and they only want money. I believe Mamdani will show what he is capable of with more money.
@Nerbit_13098 these games are not even remotely comparable in terms of quality. Crimson desert is literally slop in comparison, and it still would be if you took out all the small immersion things. Not to mention the horrible visual artifacting present in that CD clip
None of this is zero sum. The govt should encourage eating less meat w/subsidies. The govt should also punish companies that break pollution & greenhouse gas laws, & regulate the industry more. And regulate water usage in scarce areas. We should be doing all of this at once.
Why does everyone freak out like the liver king when you point out that eating meat like 25% less than you currently do would be the better thing that you can do for the environment than not driving, not flying, and not using AI combined
@SamitoFPS@Matty_OW I agree 100% that 5v5 is worse. rather than make tanks more fun to play, or give more tanks synergy with each other, they just killed offtank and turned the role into rock paper scissors.
@SamitoFPS@Matty_OW in high elo, yes. I agree with you about supports being overtuned. My general point is that aside from supports, tank synergy presented a balance issue. There was no tank to play with Orisa that was anywhere near as good as sig (hog got left in the dust). Rein/Zar. Winston/Dva.
@SamitoFPS@Matty_OW Goats is arguable but I see your point. double shield happened directly as sig released and the synergy btw sig/orisa would have been a problem no matter what. In ranked, having tank synergy was nearly always more important than playing the meta supports (excluding release brig).
@SamitoFPS@Matty_OW there's also the issue that tank tended to be the least flashy, least rewarding role to play; there is no great way to reward a player for creating space. DPS get dopamine from kills; supports from strategy and clutch saves; tanks absorb cc and get focused, which isn't fun.
@SamitoFPS@Matty_OW tanks were the issue in 6v6 too aside from brig (who was arguably a tank herself). Tank synergy enabled nearly every meta - double shield, goats, dive, etc. Nearly every tank had another 1 or 2 optimal tanks to play alongside them and the rest of the cast was much worse.
@GenericEdBoi scene is v small rn, kinda the way it goes. Early ow saw a couple dominant teams per region that curb stomped everyone else too. After 1-2 years the top players were like 80-90% different because OWL proved who was actually good and who was just not
