This guy was caught trying to steal garri from a market stall. Instead of beating him immediately, they served him a huge pot of soaked garri and a plate of beans. If he finishes everything on the spot, he walks free. If he can’t, they will mend him. 😭

Cockroach mating

The female initiates the mating. When she's ready, she raises her wings slightly, exposes her genital chamber, and releases sex pheromones to signal her availability to nearby males.

The male approaches the female, often flapping his wings excitedly to signal his interest. He then turns his back to her and lifts his wings to expose a specialized gland (the tergal gland) located on his back. The tergal gland produces a sticky, sweet-and-fatty secretion which the female loves to eat. To eat this treat, the female must climb on top of the male's back.

While the female is distracted by eating the secretion, the male telescopes his abdomen underneath her, secures her using an elongated hooked structure, and rotates until their bodies are positioned back-to-back. Once locked into place, the pair can remain connected for up to 90 minutes while the male passes a sperm package to the female.
