Born in Odisha, grew up in Hyderabad. The career options were doctor, engineer, accountant, or lawyer. She picked software. Worked it for 12 years, made management. Then she was done.
Her TAFE final project: a home for a client with a degenerative disease - deteriorating eyesight, eventual wheelchair use. She added color, high-contrast surfaces, and made it feel like his home. National award finalist.

Yesterday marked the 30th anniversary of the Twister motion picture release. I was the original technical consultant for the film and supplied the tornado image used for the poster and marketing. I put the money I made from the rights sale away, and ironically, 30 years later Iโm finally using those funds to help pay for my PhD in documentary photography.
