The lyrics really do fit both of this ships, but I can't help thinking it fits BassRock sliiightly, just a teeny-eensy bit more, what with the "can't get enough of you" line and Bass not having enough of (fighting) Rock, to the point that it's a character trait of his.

What I love is that canon materials support this, like the fact that X in Day if Sigma, when first turned on by Dr.Light, uses the pronoun "watashi"; later on, he changes it to "Boku", and finally, he uses "ore".

Y'know, robots don't have a concept of gender or sex as humans do, so all of the MegaMan robots must be non-binary and while growing up mentally and developing a personality, they end up presenting as the gender they're most comfortable with.

Taking the opportunity to mention that TopMan and ShadowMan are also super gay. Toppy attacks by ✨ dancing✨,lives in a pot greenhouse with a bunch of cats and makes Right Round references. ShadowMan's weakness is TopMan, that's a pretty gay weakness.

The fact that the fans actually manage to pull of things like Zero series OG concept AUs in a way more tasteful manner than what we can see Inafune had planned is proof that the concept of "totalitarian leader one reason or another X" isn't bad, the key is it's execution.

Same, honestly.What I find particularly distasteful from Inafune is that not only he made X suffer within the narrative, be straight up fully intended to destroy X's character in Zero series OG concept. The only good thing that came from that was 1) fan content, and 2)...

#xzero hey so y'know how Cyber Elf X's theme song is "I,0, your fellow"? It has two meanings, according to Ippo Yamada: "I'm Zero, your fellow", and "I love your fellow", but it's X's theme, which means that it's supposed to be from X's perspective, and about Zero 🥺

Furthermore, taking the Engrish into account, the meanings of the song's name seems to imply it's about X reminding Zero who he is, and that X loves him(either platonically or romantically), as japanese tends to translate "fellow" as "friend", and X's only friend in Z games is...
