2 plants are on forced outage on September 2026, 14 plants since August, 4 plants since July, 1 plant since June, 2 plants since January, 1 plant since 2025, and 1 plant since 2024, while 7 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 777.6MW unavailable to the grid.

Factor/s that contributed to the YELLOW Alert declaration:

1. Unavailability of Mindanao's large coal plants GNPK 1 & 2 and TSI 2.

A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.
