@Stratcaster4evr@towelthetank I love Vanilla, but it does suck ass that the race you pick is influenced by racials. It's less of a choice because of it, playing an orc or human warrior meant you did the most DPS and saved thousands of gold because you didn't need to buy edgemasters. It's not a choice really.
@towelthetank I hate the emphasis the community puts on rolling the meta race in Classic. It would be healthier if you picked races because you thought they looked cool primarily rather than evaluating racial passives on a simulator. I don't want to feel incentivised to play a race due to dps.
@towelthetank Facts. The community are so meta brained it's insane. I agree with just making racials non combat buffs / abilities. Bear in mind that people were crashing out about the human racial being OP when it was like 5-20 DPS better in sims with Vanilla wow level 60 gear.
@Thorin In 2024 Rodri was obviously the best player. Man City had gone nearly 40 games unbeaten with him on the pitch, won a treble and won the euros with Spain. He was instrumental in their defensive play and control of the midfield. City without Rodri when he was injured were way worse
@Thorin Who should have won if it wasn't Kane? I think it's pretty hard to make an argument against Kane. He has not only been statistically excellent but also turns up in big games consistently and isn't only a goalscorer, but has the playmaking ability of a creative midfielder.
@MatthewHeyman You guys are fantastic, honestly. Even if nothing changed about the Vanilla game and it was just weather enhancements, I would have been incredibly over the moon about that. The way the team have recreated how I remembered it (even if it never looked that way) is excellent.
@sivhades No thanks, the retarded politics in all chats was tiresome because Americans are brainrotted to fuck. It made me realise how good I have it on EU servers. Occasionally racist shit, but nowhere near as constant.
@YoungMessiah89 That's an irrelevant detail, you're just agreeing that people were cheating which is my argument. Players were swiping en masse so Blizzard wanted a slice of the pie. Fuck the players. It's a good thing buying gold can get you perma'd now.
@YoungMessiah89 5 mara runs were like 150-200g bro, people weren't farming this normally and then spending it on boosts. I'm not saying no one did this, but you're being dishonest to claim this is how most people did it. 1000g was like 10-15 euros.
@Stiven_SRB@YoungMessiah89 We can agree to disagree, I don't think your foundations are fundamentally flawed.. It is possible you're right, but no one is reading your post thinking "Ahhh, there's a 50/50 chance this is true, I'll wait for evidence" - They're going straight in on Blizzard workers.
@Stiven_SRB@YoungMessiah89 Not all speculation is the same, though. All I'm saying is that implying something malicious was going on and subscribing to a theory catches heat towards developers even if it turns out to be false. You're a dataminer, people who don't datamine will listen to you as an authority
@YoungMessiah89 If people weren't swiping constantly for GDKPs and skipping the entire levelling process, both the token and boost wouldn't have made it in. The players are the problem, Blizzard responded to what players were doing when they saw the opportunity.
@YoungMessiah89 I was and am against the 58 boost, but Classic players were asking for it in the way they played Classic 2019. The rampant RMT to buy afk boosts from level 8-60 was widespread.
You can blame the players for trying to nickel and dime the game in every way possible for the token.
@Stiven_SRB@YoungMessiah89 You had an alternative reasonable hypothesis at the start of your post which is it could be for the Chinese version.
Given wowhead's datamining has been questionable in the past, why would you even throw out speculation about devs trying to test the waters. It's irresponsible.
@Stiven_SRB@YoungMessiah89 "I also have a hard time believing Blizzard accidentally pushed the decryption keys for these specific mounts through a hotfix."
You go on to say that you think they saw the feedback and backtracked. How else can this be interpreted other than Blizzard are being deceptive?
@YoungMessiah89@Stiven_SRB Stiven accused them of lying as their "personal theory". Being incompetent isn't the same as lying. Should I post that Stiven is a child rapist as my personal theory or do you think that requires some amount of evidence before putting that out in the public?
@to_n1c@Stiven_SRB Like fine, datamine shit, but accusing people of lying, in a community as rabid and feral as the Classic community is irresponsible. I was concerned about the mounts, you can check my replies as evidence. But I was absolutely waiting for confirmation because I'm not retarded.
@to_n1c@Stiven_SRB We already know not everything in the Forever client is for Forever. Vanilla WoW had items in the database that weren't obtainable like the Warglaives of Azzinoth.
People shit themselves over EXP changes and that turned out to be false and was retracted. That was datamined.
@Stiven_SRB and just in case I need to connect the dots, I don't think getting information wrong is lying. I think throwing speculation out there that people are lying when you've had false flags before in datamining is retarded. You have gotten things wrong, why would I trust you.
@Stiven_SRB Calling the team liars while also being part of a team that had an article retracted for a false flag datamine about exp values after it caused a shitstorm is a yikes.
Datamining has caused several instances of community attacks against the developers, it is a villian. Unreal.
