Today, UWA, working in partnership with @TourismBoardUg and @MTWAUganda, announced Uganda’s first-ever Rhino Naming Ceremony.
Set for Sept 22, 2025 at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and presided over by H.E. President Museveni, the event marks a milestone in the $11M “Name A Rhino” Campaign to grow and protect Uganda’s rhino population. Received by @mugarra State minister @MTWAUganda and Dr. James ED - UWA, a number of companies and individuals like @SembesaAfrica, @AkiliKnowHow, @JaneGoodallInst, Ms. Irene Byamugisha among others have come on board to support the initiative by naming the Rhinos.
