Well done girls... Namibia takes silver in the women's 4x100m relay final. Take a bow Christine Mboma, Beatrice Masilingi, Ndawana Haitembu and Nandi Vass.
The Frank Fredericks Foundation has awarded Ndawana Haitembu with a N$20,000 scholarship to support her as she pursues an Honors degree in Sports Management at the University of Johannesburg.
Haitembu, an athlete specialising in the 100m, 200m, and relay events. Her commitment to both sports and education has been described as inspiring.
In 2023, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from NUST, followed by an International-Level Athletes Education Program Certificate from the World Anti-Doping Agency in 2024.
On the tracks, she showcased her exceptional talent, winning silver medals in both the 100m and 200m at the 2024 National Senior Championships.
Frank Fredericks Foundation founder, Frank Fredericks, reaffirmed the foundationβs commitment to making goals possible for young athletes, stating that their aim is to help make possible the goals of talented athletes like Haitembu with the little the foundation has.
"We are delighted about your dedication to both sports and education. You are doing, and have done, exceptionally well. We wish you the best with your studies," stated Fredericks.
The @NamibiaNOC hosted the AthleteMind Programme today, empowering athletes with tools to build mental strength for international and Olympic competition. π³π¦π
