As much as I fight against the notion of "idol music" = kpop, I'm still so glad to be a fan. Tracing back how much enjoyment and community it's brought me over the years is always so moving.

Do we at some point need to drop the "K"? Yeah, I don't want kpop to be ghettoed into its own category but "pop" didn't carry me thru the years, esp not Western pop.
