I gave my man my first savings to start up a business after seven years of working for his boss, who refused to settle him.
His elder brother called me to say that his brother had impregnated another lady and she would soon give birth.
I called his mum to confirm this because I got to know him through her. She was ashamed to speak and told me to calm down and that she would call me back.
I was devastated and couldn’t hold it any longer, so I had to call him to confront him because it’s a long-distance relationship.
My man told me he was drunk and didn’t know when the lady forced herself on him.
You saw her face before you asked her out
You saw her face before you started sleeping with her
You saw her face every single time you went back for more
Now you’re online using her looks as a clapback?
Oga, you didn’t discover her appearance yesterday. You were there from episode 1. 😂
So what exactly are you trying to prove?
Carry your PUPU with pride
I walked into the restaurant five minutes before closing and asked if they were still serving dessert.
The chef came out of the kitchen.
“We're closed.”
“That's disappointing.”
He looked at me.
“Unless you're willing to make me a deal.”
“What kind?”
“You help me clean up, and I'll make you whatever you want.”
I laughed. “That's your idea of flirting?”
“No.”
He wiped his hands and smiled.
“This is.”
Then he leaned closer.
“You tell me what you want, and I'll decide whether I can give it to you.”
I suddenly forgot about dessert.
There’s this new neighbour one month after they moved in, a provision shop owner came to disgrace them in the compound for owing her money and refusing to pay, the woman advised us to beware from the new neighbour coz they’re chronic debtors, fast forward to a month later the new neighbours wife came and borrowed some little money from me, I gave her, two weeks later his husband came and borrowed from me also, I gave him as well, till today the man will see me and run away; his wife would see me and even look me eye ball to eye ball and I don’t even see any act of wanting to pay back their debts, deep inside I dash them whatever they owe me but honestly some couples are very useless together and that’s why God joined them together.
Yesterday evening while we were eating, I reminded my husband that I’ve been planning our vacation to Monaco for next summer.
I’ve done my research, looked at hotels, flights, activities, everything. And from my calculations, if we both make a small financial contribution, we can go to Monaco, enjoy ourselves properly and even watch the Grand Prix.
So I presented the budget.
I will contribute about $450. He will contribute about $18,500. Very reasonable partnership, if you ask me. 🤷🏾♀️
This man started laughing so hard, then looked at me and asked if I am related to Anini. 😭🤣 I just told him that I am not familiar with that individual....
I am still trying to understand what exactly he meant by that. Because excuse me, $450 is a WHOLE lot of money.
Do you know how many things I could buy with $450??? And more importantly, marriage isn’t always 50/50. Sometimes it’s $450/$18,500.
Everybody contributes according to their ability and according to who suggested Monaco in the first place. 🤭🤣
I remember when I lived with my aunt alongside my cousin, who is my uncle’s daughter. She was three years older than me.
One day, my aunt asked her to prepare Amala. Unfortunately, the flour wasn’t good, and the Amala didn’t come out well. After cooking, she called my aunt to serve her husband’s portion as usual.
Guess what my aunt did? She poured some of the hot Amala on my cousin’s leg, blaming her for not preparing it properly.
She then called her own daughter to make another Amala, but it came out exactly the same way. This time, she didn’t pour hot Amala on her daughter’s leg or blame her. She didn’t even apologise to my cousin.
The scar is still on my cousin’s leg till today.
This is one of the many reasons I always say I will never allow my children to live with anyone. I know what some children go through behind closed doors, and not every child gets treated equally.
My cousin cheated on her husband, and when he found out, she thought her boyfriend would finally choose her.
Instead, he blocked her and disappeared.
Her husband let her stay because he said their children needed their mother.
She took that as a sign that maybe their marriage wasn't over. She thought that with enough time, enough apologies, and enough effort, they could somehow find their way back to each other.
But as the months passed, he became colder.
He started taking calls from other women right in front of her, like she wasn't even there.
Some nights, he wouldn't come home.
When she asked where he'd been, he stopped explaining himself.
And whenever she questioned him, he would simply say, “You lost the right to ask me questions when you cheated.”
She couldn't argue with that.
But a year later, something happened that finally made her leave...
My friend, a 26-year-old woman, got married last year to a 59-year-old man.
He rented a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment for her.
He comes to see her twice a week.
Recently, she chatted me up.
“Babes, I don’t understand this my neighbour ooh.”
I replied, “Why nah? Don’t fight with anybody ooh.”
She said, “No. They just always disturb me with their laughter. Anywhere they are going, they go together. They’re always together, like maybe I’m not married too.”
I replied, “Babe, you’re married, but marriage dey different nah.”
She replied:
“At least I’m better than you.”
