“A person's conscience doesn't abide by majority rule.” ~ To Kill a Mockingbird
One’s inner sense of right and wrong is not determined by what the majority of people think. Personal morality is an internal standard that requires standing alone against popular opinion.
@sabre_tv Someone asked if Eridians kept pets. Andy said yes, since animal domestication was necessary for a civilization to become agricultural. Nobody followed up with the question: if there are no plants on Erid, how can agriculture be developed?
Here's a serious answer: people are opposed to the lies.
It only looked like this for a few weeks in 2012 when the filtering system was broken.
It's cleaned every spring around this time in any case.
It'll turn a little green by August as bird poop feeds green algae.
@bluheaventt@sabre_tv According to the book, no. There are no plants on Erid (unless you count the life in their upper atmosphere, from which the entire food chain progresses).
Caolan Robertson is probably the best investigative journalist on X right now - follow him!
Also huge thanks to NAFO and Irish investigative journalists digging deeper into this case.
Rusal needs to go!
@RepMikeLawler The fact that this bill had to be brought as a discharge petition to overrule the speaker and force a vote is insane. @MikeJohnson is a pathetic excuse for a man. And the President shouldn't need Congress to place sanctions; he should be doing it himself.
But thank you.
According to Politico, the Trump administration may cancel planned Tomahawk missile sales to Germany because it fears the move could anger Russia.
Europe's largest economy wants to strengthen its defenses against an aggressive, expansionist Russia, and Washington's concern is how Moscow might react.
This is exactly why Europe needs to become militarily independent of the US.
I hope nobody is under any illusions about how Donald Trump’s brilliant diplomacy in “navigating the ongoing conflict” over the past year and a half has absolutely doomed any realistic prospect of ending this war through a diplomatic compromise.
By cutting off aid to Ukraine, blackmailing it, twisting its arms, and openly aligning himself with the aggressor, Trump has done more than anyone else to convince Putin that he should stop at nothing and continue the war until he achieves his maximalist goals of destroying Ukraine.
So there you have it -- everything that Trump’s untied hands have achieved.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@LeadingReport This was already approved by Congress during the Biden years. Congress made ~$188 billion available for Ukraine-related spending. As of late 2025, only about 58% of that had been disbursed. This isn't new aid.
