A4: #STEM projects can exist outside of #PBL but allowing students to drive the lesson planning process with questions that matter to them creates an organic connection back to the foundation. #pblchat
@chrisgibsonedu A3: Encouraging students to use a multi-disciplinary approach to think about a variety of solutions is critical in both #pbl and #STEM.
@maggieleemchugh@makerbot I'm new to teaching and am using this #pblchat to learn more about the incredible resources out there. Thanks for sharing this one!
IMO, #PBL and #STEM are like the apple tree and the apple. The foundations of one are the roots of the other, seen in the cross-curricular approaches to real world problems.
@BTLMusical How do you pick only one?! I loved so many of the books I read in high school.. I guess the one I would read a million times over again is the Killer Angels, a civil war novel by Michael Shaara.
I want to #showMustanglove with a #colleagueshoutout to @lrothmier for going above and beyond (as she always does) with our 2nd Grade American Girl book club! Thanks for letting me be a part of something so sweet! 💛
@aharrison_teach It’s a great idea, but when do you remove the tape? I’m all for learning tools, but eventually they’ll need to just know! (Present problem in Kindergarten: expecting them to spell their names from memory 😭)
