There are not enough broadcast awards in the world to recognize the genius that is @ayesharascoe . This morning's @NPRWeekend , from her convo with astrophysicist @astro_beauty to her singing throwdown with @nprscottsimon .....best two hours of NPR ever recorded.
Plot device in far too many otherwise well-respected novels I've read recently: "And then on the second try I randomly guessed his computer password." There just has to be another way. One capitalization, one punctuation mark, and the deal is off. It just seems impossible to me.
You know when characters in a novel are just such awesome people that you wish they were real even if you wouldn’t know them just so you could feel happy about their lives? That’s how I’m feeling about @csittenfeld ‘s Sally + Noah.
@WBUR I’m sure the field guide is great but the “C’mon, get out!” line in the promo makes my skin crawl. That’s how you talk to a dog standing on the threshold on a rainy day. Please discontinue.
Are the editors and producers of @RadioBoston on strike too? I'm sure teen basketball phenom AJ from Brockton is a terrific young man, but Tiziana Dearing's interview was the most painful 3-hour listening experience in recent memory.
Fellow #journalists, what are you doing about asking ppl's pronouns during short minor interviews? I'm interviewing seniors (by phone) about a fitness trend. Finding it hard to ask each one.
@chrystabilton Terrific interview on @nprfreshair! Can't wait to read your book. Guessing you'll be doing lots more media appearances in the days to come.....if so, maybe learn correct usage of "my sister & I" vs "me" and also PLEASE use some other adjective besides "WILD."
Pretty sure @NPRinskeep (or his @MorningEdition scriptwriters) just urged the American public to practice hands-free driving. No Steve, it's hands-free everything else - calling, texting - but hands-ON driving! ☺️
