Today on this 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps by Soviet troops, we pause and honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On this day, let us try to remember the lives taken in the Holocaust. The horror, the brutality, the inhumanity. May we learn the history of what happened not only during the Holocaust, but of what led up to it. And may we all realize that today it is our responsibility to speak up and out about injustice. To not allow human suffering to take place— whether it be about religion, politics, identity, etc. May we continue to remember our past, so that we may never forget, and never forget to speak out! #internationalholocaustremembranceday
Today, I’m remembering the lives of the 26 children and educators who were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The first graders murdered that day would be 18-years-old now—adjusting to life after high school, celebrating milestones with loved ones, and building their futures. They deserved all that and more.
I have consulted many influential people linked to baseball in the DR, and most tell me that Juan Soto will be a #RedSox.
This week looks interesting...
Me when I see any former newsies at the bar or coffee shop tomorrow enjoying time with their friends or family and not refreshing poll results/getting scripts ready for their next live hit @thatnewslife#Election2024
SHOUT OUT to all the news crews about to work a very long day.
Covering a Presidential election is vital to Democracy, vexing by nature and vilified by at least half your family members.
Do it anyway.
And watch your back.
As we all grieve the immense loss of actor James Earl Jones (Star Wars, The Lion King), I wanted to celebrate one his funnier milestones, reading Letterman’s best Top Ten List, reciting commercial jingles with his spectacular, powerful, booming voice. #RIPJamesEarlJones
Take a moment to remember the line of duty deaths of Firefighters Paul Cahill Engine 30 and Warren Payne Ladder 25 and their families , they lost their lives at the Tai Ho restaurant fire West Roxbury in 2007. May they Rest in Peace.
