I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters.
In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.
Honey. Hey honey.
We have 15,430 beekeepers in Canada. We export about $60 million of honey a year, $40 million of that to the USA. That honey now has a 50% tariff and our farmers are going to have a tough time selling it.
Canada imports a lot of honey, about $73 million of it. Some of it isn’t even real honey (seriously it’s faked with rice and cane syrups eww).
Check the labels. As a country we are spending $73 million on imported honey and looking at loosing $40 million in exported honey to the USA. It’s kinda simple math. Buy Canadian honey.
Little things from many people will make a difference.
On this exact day, August 24, 1814, British forces (including units from British North America aka Canada) entered Washington, D.C. and burned the White House in retaliation for the American attack on York (now Toronto) during the War of 1812.
Just thought I would share that today.
🇨🇦 Canada has spent far too long being polite.
We said “sorry” enough.
Now it’s America’s turn to find out why nobody messes with the Canada goose. 😂🇨🇦
True North, strong and free. And slightly unhinged.
@atrupar I guess this Canadian coffin was filled with hockey pucks and maple syrup, and not a Soldier killed in combat supporting the US in Afghanistan. I served with these men and women in Kandahar and Bagram. Duffy you need to shut the entire fuck up forever.
Saturday night and Montreal is ROCKING!
I am trying Schwartz’s after all of your recommendations!!
Loving Montreal and loving Canada 🇨🇦
What a fantastic city!
