Kishore Kumar was so deeply connected to the emotional depth of the song that he recorded it in just one take. Rajesh Roshan was only in his mid-20s when he created this timeless melody for the movie. Picturised on Amitabh and Neetu Singh.
"How is that Ghana can do so well at the World Cup but India can't even qualify?" asked a neighbor.
The answer is complex but a big part is nutrition. Look at what free school lunches in Ghana look like. Then compare them to what Indian schools serve.

It's just so heartening to see #MainVaapasAaunga do well at the box office. Audiences rewarding cinema that's honest, and made with full conviction by #ImtiazAli and team.
A 1.25 crore opening, to now aiming at a Rs 70 crore finish? That's a trend and success story to be remembered for a while.
Heartiest congratulations to #ImtiazAli, #DiljitDosanjh, #Sharvari, #VedangRaina, and entire team of #MainVapasAaunga. And above all, the great #Naseer Saab.
If you have not watched the film, please do go and watch it in cinema's near you and far far away from you. I am sure, it will touch your heart, make you smile, cry and most importantly, "hopeful" for a closure in life.

The president personally took her hand and walked her to school.
In 2022, 11-year-old Embla Ademi, a girl with Down syndrome from North Macedonia, was bullied by classmates and faced rejection when some parents refused to let their children share a classroom with her.
President Stevo Pendarovski refused to stay silent. He visited her family, gently held her hand, and walked her into school himself.
The simple gesture carried a profound message: every child deserves respect, kindness, and a sense of belonging.
His office later stated that empathy is a moral responsibility. The heartwarming moment quickly captured global attention. It was far more than a photo op: it was a powerful example of leadership that chooses to stand with those society often marginalizes.

When Gulzar decided to direct 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘺, he also decided to rope in R.D. Burman as the music composer. In his memoir, "Actually... I Met Them", Gulzar remembers that his friend Pancham was always incredibly particular about knowing everything about a song - its setting, the sequence, all of it.
So one day, Gulzar gave him a few lines of a mukhra to start with. That night, well past midnight, a car suddenly pulled up to Gulzar’s door. It was Pancham.
"Come down, I have a tune in my head," he said. Gulzar had no choice but to comply.
Once Gulzar was in the car, Pancham played a few notes and turned to him. "Put words to this tune, otherwise I'll lose track of it." A little uncomfortable but left with no other option, Gulzar began filling words to the melody. Pancham just kept pouring out more tunes, and Gulzar kept matching them with lyrics.
The car cruised briskly through the empty roads of Mumbai all through the night. By the time they finished, the night was already knocking on the door of dawn. That became the very first song of the movie. And as they wandered through the city under the cover of night, a true gem was born: "𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘪𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘢𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯...".
Happy Birthday, Boss! Remembering Pancham Da!!
I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the esteemed @GhoshAmitav at Melahuset. Our conversation revolved around climate change, reincarnation, and of course food and fish.
