Just a thought...Brahmin mathas should start converting all hindus as Brahmins? So whoever gets converted can become a Brahmin and be a general category. Over the time all hindus become Brahmin and they can abolish reservation as there will be no division of obc/st/st...
@iam_preethi Epson Ecotank. We bought it during Covid,so far have printed thousands of pages because we homeschool and it's been running without any issues.
What people without kids don't understand about having children is, kids don't make your life whole when you are old. They make your current life worth living, because you feel it's a privilege to shape the life of a human being .To witness every milestone is a miracle.
Legacy isn't just financial. It is values, memories and principles. If the majority of parents pass on their good values, traditions it creates a good society. Any society good or bad, reflects the value system the people in it uphold.
There is a death in an apartment. It has 40 houses. The family members want to use the corridor to keep the dead body for friends and family come to see the deceased, pay respects, and offer condolences. Should the apartment give the permission to use the corridor? Be honest.
A good sign of a healthy marriage in couples with kids is; husband feels proud abt providing for his family, doesn't criticise household expenses as he trusts the wife's decisions.Wife take pride in cooking nutritious meals for him. Both are a burden, but love makes them worthy.
Morning Routine of my homeschooled kids.
Wake up : 6.30 ish, read books, eat breakfast, get dressed for the day. Do a chore, start their memory work(math, poems, capitals).Eat second breakfast, knock out math first followed by ELA, second lan, science and read aloud. Done by 2.30
If you're for ideas to delegate some chores to your kids: A 9y old can do the following chores.Water the plants, make dosa, fix cold sandwich chop fruits and veggies apples, reheat the food in the microwave, Organise the bookshelves, fold laundry, take the trash out.
Homeschool your kids.
Most of the children around 10y old in my neighborhood haven't read single classic books and majority of them can't decode the unfamiliar words. My 9y has read Harry Potter,Black Beauty,Railway Children,Heidi,Little Men,Charlie the chocolate factory etc.

Daughter thinks she is always right.
Husband is always wrong.
Resentment builds. 💔
7/
The cycle continues. 🔁
8/
All this could have been avoided if Mom and Dad
loved each other, leaned on each other,
and supported each other. 🤍
1/Average family in India 🇮🇳
Mom has a lot of resentment towards Dad.
2/
Mom brainwashes kids to join her maternal family through her sad stories.
3/
Mom finally realizes her parents won’t be there forever,
so she becomes “super nice and loving” towards her brother.
4/
This creates tension in the maternal uncle’s family.
The aunt cuts the relationship with Mom.
5/
Mom leans onto her adult daughter for emotional support.
Never lets her married daughter become close to her husband.
Supports her daughter no matter what.
Urban Indian parents dividing their assets equally among all of their children but when it comes to elder care they prefer sons, even though they don't like the daughter in-law.I wonder why?
There are so many nannies looking after babies and toddlers in my neighborhood. This wasn't common 5 years back.Wheneve I see them they are taking babies on strollers and talking over the phone. I rarely see a nanny who makes eye contact with babies and talks.
Grateful to God for the privilege of giving my children a childhood like mine—no gadgets, just outdoor play, book reading, and making friends in the neighborhood.
Husband has meetings with delegates from Israel for this whole week. He comes home with amazing stories. He met a person who is 40, has 4 kids and an older one is 26y old and younger one is in late teens. This is so common in Israel. I wish I could invite this person for dinner.
Have been telling my son, your grandparents had it easier, your parents got lucky with the IT boom. But I can't tell the same to you. You may have to struggle for opportunities, so use your time wisely.
