@Davosh02@F1 Exactly, they can. And why would they bother abiding by a 10% wind tunnel reduction? What are the FIA going to do? Fine them a few more million. They'll pay these fines every year if it allows them to keep winning.
@MueRNL@F1 That doesn't constitute a reg overhaul. Also why would RedBull even bother to reduce their wind tunnel time by 10%? Will they get another fine? They'll gladly pay these fines every year for the competitive advantage.
@MueRNL@F1 7 mil is nothing to a team like RedBull. A small team would feel it. Haas barely make the cap if they try. 10% wind tunnel time isn't as big as you're making it unless the aero regs are being completely overhauled for 2023, which they're not. Worth it for 2 WDCs and a WCC.
FA π¨οΈ "The car felt very competitive today and it was good to be in Q3 again. However, I had a broken floor after I ran wide on my first lap in Q3, so we lost some performance with the damage."

@onevoice_1@Motorsport There's no evidence that Hamilton intentionally missed the apex, the guy isn't infallible and made plenty mistakes. Secondly even if he did intentionally miss the apex, that still doesn't mean he intentionally made contact. Sometimes drivers collide, get over it already.
@MTLCanadiens86 @PhantasmicOne @ESPNF1 I was there. There were cheers as the two entered copse, which is to be expected from race fans. When Verstappen hit the barrier there was nothing but gasps of shock and concern to be heard. And they applauded him when he climbed out.
@SpareSteward I honestly believe he needs to hold his hand up, admit he's made a big mistake and resign. For the integrity of the sport. It's not just the last race, the season was a shambles. Even RB and Verstappen would be calling for it if not for being the ultimate beneficiaries at the end
@RedbeardRohan I'm off the opinion that changing the result after the race is the worst possible thing to do. But Mercedes are justified taking FIA to court and hopefully Masi replaced for next season. In 30 years watching this sport, I've seen some terrible things but this tops them all.
@UgoMars@nareshvuppu @joelrwrites @DamienHellewell @andrewbensonf1 Yeah I agree, that would've been better than what we got. Masi has got to go in my opinion.
@nareshvuppu@UgoMars @joelrwrites @DamienHellewell @andrewbensonf1 No, there's no narrative. There's rules that all the teams have agreed to. And there's safety, which is the utmost importance. And there's only so much fuel in the cars. Something had to change to give Verstappen a chance, so they changed the rules.
@UgoMars @joelrwrites @DamienHellewell @andrewbensonf1 But breaking their own rules to influence the outcome isn't a disaster for F1? In 30 years watching motorsport I've never seen anything as farcical. A safety car finish is never good but least you can understand it and say it was fair enough.
