As part of our biodiversity topic, we went on a life hunt to see what life we could find in our school and photographed it ourselves. Then we experimented with natural resources to see how they could be used as art tools. 🌱🌿 @nantcelynschool

Our new Eco Topic is Biodiversity, and today we explored the work of artist Kurt Jackson, who paints rich, biodiverse landscapes. We tried blind drawing first, then an observational sketch - they look amazing! @nantcelynschool

As part of our Maths Rich Task, we have tallied our favourite fruit in Welsh, created a bar graph, worked out the cost and made our fruit kebabs 😃 🍎 🍊 🍇 🫐 we had a fabulous time!

Today we welcomed some special visitors who taught us about Hungary and the significance of their national celebration on Sunday 15th March. The children particularly enjoyed learning new vocabulary and creating their own hats as part of the activities. @nantcelynschool 😀

Dosbarth Redwood & Yew have enjoyed their DCF lesson this afternoon all about databases. They were able to locate and retrieve information from a database and design/ create their own monster Top Trumps! 😀 @nantcelynschool

Welsh Week!
For our Welsh lesson today, we listened to the Dewi Sang story in Welsh and then listened to information about him. We then wrote information in the first person about Dewi Sant.

Welsh Week!
Today, we used our ‘Y Wal Wella’ to look at WAGOLL’s and then construct our own success criteria’s for them. We then made a poem plan for our Eisteddfod poem and then rewrote it to challenge ourselves and ‘bump it up!’

RVE Lesson - Respect!
We discussed how we can respect others and ourselves!
We then used a concept cartoon and Voice21 to discuss in groups how we can help our friend if they were being hurt! @nantcelynschool

This afternoon, in our DCF lesson, we discussed how to stay safe online, the uses and misuses of AI, and who to tell if something happens. We used Google Drawings to create posters in readiness for Safer Internet Day on February 10th! @nantcelynschool
