On Thursday, April 30, I’ll be hosting a #DefyAI writing workshop in Longmont, Colorado. I am working with Denver artist Javier Robles. Attendees will pick one of Javi’s work that they like, and have an hour to write a story based on it. One rule: you can’t use any “AI”.
AT Gonzalez did an excellent job on this book. It’s fast, funny, and will bring up a lot of memories for readers. I know it brought up a lot of memories for me.
https://t.co/wxgxr2yxS2 I am proud to announce From the Minds of Babes: Silly Things We Believed as Kids. This humor book by @AtGonzalez01 explores the strange beliefs we all had as kids, with real stories from grown-ups. Illustrated by @OponokMWL, to be published in late June.
@Scotterybarn Here’s my thought on this whole thing: when Robert Altman directed A Prairie Home Companion, he was in poor health. The completion bond company had Paul Thomas Anderson shadow him just in case. Not directing, but… you never know.
If you’d like to get postcards in the mail with original writing on them, visit https://t.co/ZYsEKQPfUd. I work with writers like @AtGonzalez01, @EncountersOf, and artists like @OponokMWL
You can also write me at Nantucket Lit, PO Box 337, Lafayette CO 80026
https://t.co/ei46YoWTl0 New blog post: I have mailed out subscriber copies of Postcard #10 for #FirstClassFiction. This postcard features the poem Spider Misses Fly by Superball.
Every two weeks, I mail out postcards with original stories and poetry on them.
@Scotterybarn I have heard that the car chase in The Man With the Golden Gun was not permitted. The story goes that those were all real crashes, and someone from the crew was driving behind, writing checks to all the drivers who got hit.
@AtGonzalez01 I thought it was weird that both The Departed and The Sopranos use the live version of Comfortably Numb, but then I realized that Chris and Tony are actually listening to the Departed soundtrack.
@OponokMWL Roger Ebert’s mic-drop on the first RE movie: “No wonder the steel doors make those slamming noises. In their imagination, they’re practicing. Creative visualization, it’s called. I became inspired, and visualized the theater doors slamming behind me.”
Tomorrow, April 25, I’ll be at the Best of Spring Craft Fair in Brighton, Colorado. Come to Riverdale Regional Park, 9 AM – 4 PM and we can talk postcards. Tickets are $5, benefiting the Adams County Museum. #physicalMedia
@AtGonzalez01 Slight correction, this postcard has a story by Javier Baltar. There’s another story by you coming up in a month or so, which I am very excited about!
Tomorrow, I am mailing out the next postcard for #FirstClassFiction. This postcard has the story Pursuit of Perfection by Javier Baltar (@EncountersOf), with original art by @OponokMWL
If you’d like to be mailed postcards with stories on them, visit https://t.co/FOhXrZm8RR
@Scotterybarn I so wish I could find this talk that Spielberg and John Williams did. I think it was on TCM or AMC. Spielberg talked about meeting Bernard Hermann during post on Taxi Driver.
The next postcard for #FirstClassFiction was mailed out today. This one features the short story Passive Transport by Benjamin Hollon. The art is Learning by Heart by Edward Thompson Davis.
