A simple message from the National Leader on the role of support groups is now being misconstrued to mean that the party is trying to stifle them.

Is it that some people are mischievously trying to create a problem where there is none?

A support group (not recognised by the candidate and loathed by many within the movements), without authorisation, announced a Presidential Campaign Council. The party then clarified that it could have been given a different name and not PCC, because many mistook it for the NDC PCC. That simple clarification is now being turned into an agenda that the NDC is trying to stifle support groups.

Support groups are the engine room of every party, as they drive mobilisation efforts at the grassroots, and the NDC understands that perfectly well.

Nobody is more committed to the OK project than the man who laboured day and night to build the platform upon which Nigeria is about to witness the greatest political upset in our history, and that man is Seriake Dickson.

The deliberate attempt to vilify a man who has committed resources and time to building a platform that we are all using as a vehicle for change is unfair.

I hope those responsible for creating this devilish agenda to keep us off track in our campaign will retrace their steps.

I am using this opportunity again to call on our supporters to stop these self-destructive behaviours and focus on the main goal.

We have an election to win, and that should be our focus.

There are those who are only loyal, for as long as their agenda and their ego is served. They possess shifting loyalty and shifting honour for various stakeholders.

When you bring such people close, you're soon to become a victim of their inconsistency. Your principles should remain the same, regardless the actors and actions at play in a situation.
