@DanielleSteers I can't understand the total arrogance of comments made like that.
When feeding my theatre addiction over the years, not once has it crossed my mind to compare one performer to another. Instead I like to focus on the unique qualities that each performer brings to their role x
@danny_robins@BBCSounds Thank you, I sincerely mean that. This weekend I have listened to The Witch Farm & Battersea Poltergeist. It's given me some great food for thought on the levels of fear that can be experienced. Now I am ready to binge Uncanny!
@stephenwebb1983 More consideration & open minds are needed before reviews are written. I think this is where a filter should be applied. Mental health is important, & there's a fine line between one persons opinion of a performance & making it personal.
Ok rant over now lol!
@stephenwebb1983 I stopped reading show reviews a long time ago!
My hat goes off to all performers of stage & the hard work you all put in to give the audiences a nights/afternoon's pleasure.
They rarely mention in reviews, the learning of scripts, the rehearsals etc. Even before a show opens.
@becky_devonlive @RobBraddick Absolutely!!
When I was a child & we holidayed at Westward Ho, I used to love sitting & looking at Seafield House. Wondering what it was like inside & the history it held.
Every so often I would dream about it, which would then prompt me to spend the next few days looking it ๐
@BoyGeorge Seeing the video actually filled me with joy. For me the engagement, signifies something more important. Surely we are more likely to approach someone showing a human characteristic like enjoyment or fun if the need arises, than someone that isn't in any way approachable.
Absolutely amazing episode of casualty last night.
Amazing acting by all. @jasedurr it cannot have been an easy episode to film, yet you captured all the emotions fantastically. Now I need to stop crying x
