transmeds are racist fatphobic and misogynistic as fuck and im not afraid to say it lol. i know im hitting the hornets nest and i dont care youre all evil
@TheFVguy@Stratofvcker@snailgoesboing Mhm, I'm quite in the support of using stock photos like this and tracing in general as a method I've covered this in my other replies
@Jonny337799@Nannipolar@snailgoesboing That can make sense but it quite blurs the line doesn't it? While tracing a stock photo is innocuous, what if it's a traced photo of somebody's art. Does it count as tracing or is it now just referencing because they mostly changed the features of the drawing?
@ponypillow@Stratofvcker@snailgoesboing Yeah! There's nothing wrong with tracing + if anything I support it for shortcutting, but I'm apparently getting claims that it's referencing which is what I'm confused over
@sokratenel@Nannipolar@snailgoesboing Really? Huh. I would imagine referencing doesn't cause this much of a perfect alignment with the eye/head shape as for tracing but maybe I'm getting terms mixed up or I'm just unaware of a particular referencing method
@snailgoesboing Guys,,, I don't think OP is supposed to be against tracing (stock photos are free game anyways it's only relatively a problem when it comes to stealing other people's art) but the "ruin" part is just the inherit pretty funny concept of this big band using stock photos like this
@Nannipolar@snailgoesboing This is straight up not a reference, there's nothing wrong with tracing but even down to the clothing wrinkles you can see this is a pretty 1-to-1 copy with the exception of one of the arms
