During the afternoon hours of December 16, 2024, Naples Police Officers were dispatched to Baker Park in reference to a suspicious male underneath the Blair Bridge. Officers made contact with the subject, later identified as
city park, Moad is a registered sex offender with his original charge being committed against a minor. Per Florida Statute, Moad is not legally allowed to loiter within 300 feet of a park, playground, or any area where children are congregating. Moad was arrested and transported
The total amount of stolen items of clothing was $2,361.98. Detectives are working with loss prevention for Burlington and Marshallโs to add additional charges.

anti-theft device, while Guzman was charged with Failure to Appear, possession of an anti-theft device, and driving without a valid license. Both suspects are facing further charges related to other retail theft locations.

On November 10, 2024, officers with the Naples Police Department responded to a verbal disturbance at a hotel involving Jason Qazim Arif, a 38-year-old resident of Colorado. During the
investigation, officers discovered Arif was a registered sex offender in Colorado. Arif was convicted in 2012 for sexual assault and exploitation of a child. Further investigation revealed Arif was visiting Collier County but failed to register as a sex offender within the
surveillance and was able to positively identify the suspect as Eric Marell Cook, a 57-year-old convicted felon with three prior arrests for Robbery.
On October 31, 2024, Cook was placed under arrest for Robbery and was transported to the Collier County Jail.

On October 27, 2024, the Naples Police Department was notified about a robbery at the 1200 block of 5th Avenue North. The victim reported being approached by a suspect who demanded cash. The victim refused to comply and received a
punch in the face with a closed fist. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to steal his wallet. After failing to obtain the wallet, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.
Detectives with NPD conducted interviews and reviewed footage from video
