Whenever #SaudiArabia needs #Pakistani military assistance to fend off the Houthis sudden attacks erupt across Pakistan. This looks like a classic false flag tactic by Pakistan to escape the commitments it made to Saudi Arabia and Turkey under the defense pact. #Pakistan will now accuse #Afghans without a shred of evidence reignite conflict with #Afghanistan and tell Riyadh that it is too busy at home. I hope friends in Saudi Arabia pay close attention to this pattern.

Shapoor Zadran was one of the pioneers who helped lay the foundation of Afghanistan cricket. It is truly heartbreaking to hear of his passing. Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Shapoor Zadran, Afghanistan’s renowned cricket star and former member of the national cricket team, who has died today after a prolonged illness.

I recently visited Shapoor at the hospital in New Delhi, India, where he had been admitted. Right till the end, I remained hopeful for his recovery and spared no effort or support in securing good treatment.

Shapoor Zadran’s death is undoubtedly a profound loss, not just for his family and friends but also for millions of his fans and supporters.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, the officials and members of Afghanistan’s cricket community, and all those who loved and admired him.

May his soul rest in peace.
