Situation on Kupiansk front: During the last seven days, Russian army has succeeded in reducing the Ukrainian presence on the eastern bank of the Oskil River. Russian forces have advanced east of Podoly, capturing new trench systems located at the abandoned airstrip, and have also made headway in the forests south of Kucherivka.

Furthermore, after taking full control of the eastern part of Kupiansk city, Russian forces reached the end of Olyvyno Street and are currently driving the Ukrainians out of the Kupyansk-Sortirovochny locomotive depot and the headquarters of the rifle group responsible for protecting the Southern Railway’s freight. This is occurring simultaneously with an advance from the recently captured Kurylivka towards the Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi Silicate Plant and the Kupyansk Railway Carriage Repair Depot of the Kupyansk-Uzlovaya Railway, leaving the Ukrainian garrison trapped in a north-south attack supported by heavy artillery fire.

Further south, the recent Russian capture of the ruins of the Kupyansk Foundry has enabled them to launch infiltration attacks through the wooded area to enter the new Kivsharivka microdistrict. This locality is situated in a grey zone, where Russian soldiers are gradually amassing troops in high-rise buildings and driving out Ukrainian soldiers, who are retreating to neighbouring Novoosynove. However, these troops are currently under heavy pressure, after the Russians began advancing into Hlushkivka with little resistance, suggesting that Ukrainian withdrawals are taking place towards the wooded area near the river, including Zhyvotivka, towards which the Russians are also attempting to advance from Kolisnykivka.

Moreover, it is also necessary to highlight developments west of the Oskil River, where Russian troops have managed to secure Kindrashivka completely after five months of positional fighting; capturing the neighbouring settlement of Radkivka (abandoned by both sides) would allow Russia to regain the initiative over Moskovka and, with it, the railway line and Ukrainian supply route west of Kupiansk.

Over the past three days, several videos have emerged showing troops raising flags in localities in the eastern bank of Oskil river. However, the combing operations are proceeding slowly, so it is premature to speak of full Russian control in those areas.
