While working on season 3 of Attack on Titan, I knew Commander Erwin’s death was imminent. I’d read ahead. I didn’t, however, know exactly when we’d record it.
In memory of Mike McFarland, let us remember the time @caitlinsvoice introduced him at the Ouran High School Host Club cast announcement at Anime Expo 2008 and he appeared fully dressed up as Ranka. Man was truly dedicated.

Thinking about a lot. He was such a brilliant mind, in so many ways.
He took a big chance on me very early in my career. Genuinely, I hope I’m making him proud…
Mike McFarland, my dear friend and mentor of over twenty years, is gone. A rarer, more beautiful soul this world will never know.
Rest in peace, Salt. The love you created endures, but damned if I know how we’ll get on without you around to share it back with. 💔
We say goodbye to another legend today 🕊️

My dear friend, Mike McFarland, went in this week with what he assumed was an ear infection and turned out to be a massive brain tumor. After undergoing successful emergency surgery, he is recovering with friends, but still very much in need of support. https://t.co/AExHsjfvr2
A really good guy, @JEFFBM, who is a colleague in our VO community was assaulted. A little banged up, so I'm signal boosting to assist with his medical bills. https://t.co/vKmHqPrKYj
