2. As on-device silicon (Apple M4, Qualcomm NPUs) gets powerful enough to run capable models locally, the marginal data centre query never gets made.

3. Apple's latest MacBook is the earliest mainstream proof point. If this scales, the demand curve for cloud inference flattens before hyperscaler capex does.
