A major police recruitment scam has been busted in Pune, where individuals allegedly secured government jobs in the police force using fake sports certificates. Investigations by the Pune Crime Branch revealed that at least 19 police personnel illegally exploited the government's sports reservation quota by submitting fraudulent certificates for 'Kurash' and 'Dragon Boat' sports. These fraudulent certificates were reportedly sold for ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh each, with an estimated 500 to 600 individuals believed to have acquired them.
The racket, which spanned a ten-year period from 2016 to 2026, has led to the questioning of 70 individuals by authorities. The Pune Crime Branch has arrested two key suspects: Ankush Vitthal Nagar, President of the Maharashtra State Kurash Association, and Shivaji Salunkhe, the association's Secretary. Of the candidates recruited through these fake certificates, at least nine have already undergone training. The investigation is now being widened to determine if higher-ranking officials within the sports department or the police force are involved in the scam.

What did they do? Nothing.

One of our seven demands is that the Delhi government release all records of the committee, including any surveys of Satya Niketan WITHIN 48 hours. No “naraz fufa” or “dimagi naxal” nonsense will work here.

Ministerial accountability will be fixed. @ashishsood_bjp, time is ticking.
