Narrat has been getting a bit of attention again so here's another intro of the engine:
Narrat is a game engine I created to easily make interactive fiction games (narrative RPGs, visual novels etc) for desktop or browser.
🧵
Introducing narrat 4: with full AI support. Want to make a game but don't want to "make a game"? Press the new generate game button, and the AI will write all your script and dialogue for you based on prompts.
We are democratising game development 🚀
It's Steam Visual Novel Fest! https://t.co/l4JjCQbbds
Speaking of which I have been doing some work on improving and documenting Steam integration and native Steam Deck support on Narrat. I want to get to the point where Narrat games can get a green tick on Steam Deck by default.

And a reminder that there is an occasional Narrat newsletter you can subscribe to https://t.co/PtLDtODB46 not spammy, I only post when I have an interesting batch of things to mention. Good to keep in touch if you want to get a summary of what you missed about narrat
Anyone making/made Narrat games? Post about them here so everyone can find your games.
(I also need to update the https://t.co/pXmaKCUboo website so if you want your game to get visibility there, reply to this)
Today's game engine is 'Narrat Engine': Narrat is a beginner-friendly game engine for making narrative games with RPG features, visual novels, interactive fiction, and more

@Xuelder@ckunzelman if you made this bit in narrat, wouldn't it technically be a real game? like you could put a game on itch io that's just this screen with those 3 choices.
anyone can make their own disco elysium successor in 5 minutes if you're willing to scope down enough
So when @NutritiousLiana started working on the @NarratEngine for the game (which you should totally use, it's free and fun), it was sort of a no-brainer to use a UI with a similar composition to Disco Elysium's;
With Narrat you too can make your own "reddit disco elysium goonslop but it's tumblr tenderqueer and too much like disco elysium but also not enough", or whatever the braindead terminally online miserable people on this platform are saying
Unmatched power even by Unreal Engine 5
