A Nigerian soldier fighting to keep the nation safe receives a paltry salary of N56,600 ($36), while a senator doing a sinecure task gets N21 million ($13,200) ‘running cost’ monthly.

I’m not asking for pay parity between senators and soldiers, but soldiers should be paid enough to cover their basic needs.
