True. This cruel regime has far too much riding on the world it has built and simply cannot afford to lose it. These people aren't even in a position to humor PTI, let alone accommodate its demands.
Well, Trump doesn't care as long as he gets what he wants out of these blokes, as far as he's concerned, it's all peachy. As for Pakistan's brutal regime, they're doing it out of spite. They're doing it simply because they can. It's only a matter of time before the tables turn.
🇵🇰 INCREDIBLE STUFF!
Pakistan is sealing roads into Islamabad with shipping containers, some seemingly fitted with ROWS OF METAL SPIKES
ahead of Imran Khan’s PTI march on September 27
Authorities have already detained Khan’s sisters under public-order laws, arrested PTI figures and deployed extra security as the government vows to stop the march.
The awkward part for Washington is who sits atop Pakistan’s security system: Field Marshal Asim Munir, whom Trump has repeatedly praised as his “favorite field marshal,” while U.S.-Pakistan military cooperation has been warming again, including a proposed $686 million F-16 upgrade package.
That image is brutal:
American military cooperation on one side.
Shipping containers with spikes pointed at protesters on the other.

How naive. New provinces are just another way to manipulate each other and milk this system for all it’s worth. People get dragged into the conversation while things are quietly sorted out. It’s Manto’s Naya Qanoon all over again, nothing ever changes for the people.
Well, it happens. You sell yourself as a man with a plan, only to end up crowing for more loans when it turns out there was never a plan to begin with, not for the country, anyway.
But they worked out pretty well for the planners, didn’t they? Who cares about ordinary people? They don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, if you know what I mean. 😉
They're running around like headless chickens, desperately trying to delay their impending doom. But the thing you fear most has a way of catching up with you sooner or later.
