Transform your online presence with captivating designs focusing on user experiences. We bring innovative solutions that propel your business
To succeed, we have to shift our focus to what truly matters to the customer, creating solutions that resonate with them. That’s how products turn into solutions, buyers become loyal, and sales become lasting relationships.
One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is assuming that what they love about their product is what customers will love too. When we pour passion into every detail, we expect customers to see it the same way.
But the truth is, people buy products because they solve their own problems or fulfill their own needs—not because they match our own excitement or unique vision.
This is for the entrepreneurs ONLY.
The business lesson that all entrepreneurs can learn from artists - specifically musicians is this - hits are not made in the studio. Hits are made in the streets.
Only listeners can take a music track and turn it into a hit. The power to accept or reject a piece of music rests with the ears of the listeners. And in the marketplace of harmony, the contest for domination and acceptance is real.
Now consider what it takes for a piece of music to become so ubiquitous that it begins to penetrate popular culture. An article of music should be the trending song on Instagram or a trending dance feature on TikTok.
This is the same challenge for entrepreneurs creating products and scaling their businesses: How do you get customers to take your product and turn it into a symbol? A symbol of a culture, a movement, a trend, a jive or even a time in history.
Admittedly this is infinitely easier for products than it is for services. Frankly, I can't think offhand of a single example where a service-based business was able to do this.
Back to the question, how do you do this? Here are some thoughts:
1. allow the market to tell you what works and what doesn't. Just like listeners make a hit, customers make a successful product.
2. marketing can influence this but it can't create it. History is littered with examples of companies that tried endless marketing budgets & coercive media power to turn over-engineered products into sudden "hits." And the record of history is clear, it just doesn't work.
3. the most enduring feature of a successful marketing strategy is "humility." Over the years we can use words such as social listening, surveys, NPS etc. But the theme is the same, acknowledge that you don't know. And then be humble enough to ask, "Dear customer, how can I better serve you?"
This is prompted by a client we have been helping through our advisory business. They have been behind the wheel for too long and have had so many early successes that they think they no longer need to learn. Now, suddenly, the way they have always done things doesn't work.
Sorry for the lecture.

It's not just your logo, colors, or font style.A brand isn't just what you see on the surface-it's the experience you expect. It's the gut feeling people have about your product or service, shaped by all the little details that work together.
