@TheSnoozeDoctor@NuffieldHealth I mean they cherry pick the simple cases so of course it’s quicker and therefore more profitable, I have no doubt there’s efficiency savings to be made but there’s a very obvious reason as to why the numbers chalk up like this.
🔴One of my mates is an F1 doctor whose application for a 2-bed flat was rejected by the landlord because:
“He didn’t feel that the salary was enough to keep up with the monthly payments in rural North West England 🤡”
@DHSCgovuk@jamesmurray_ldn Let’s agree to pay us at least equivalent than lesser trained roles, who are playing Doctor.
At that point I’d believe a word coming out of your mouth. Until then you’re just another lying Wesley.
@NotDerek666@itrymybestinnit You’ve clearly not understood this Derek, and looking at your profile you’ve also clearly got a not very nice agenda.
Bye bye
@itrymybestinnit I know how much it costs, I have to budget for all of this.
I get them charging more for it (not as much as they do) cos whilst it is virtual they have actors & real time examiners. But all of these things are just a money making scheme, plus mandatory portfolio, membership etc
@VincentVanGrump@rcgp I just don’t understand why we are the only people in the hospital who have to self fund MANDATORY exams for progression and ongoing employment. The tACPs get their training funded, why are we still paying out of pocket?
£481 to do a multiple choice exam on a computer, marked by computer.
Don’t have a choice but to pay it as it’s a mandatory part of my job.
The @rcgp and all the royal colleges take us for an absolute ride.
Gaza: Doctors Under Attack wins a BAFTA Award
Executive Producer Ben de Pear, "Just a question for the BBC, given you that you dropped our film will you drop us from the BAFTA TV screening later on tonight?"
And guess what, they edited it to this shorter version
@FaeroyGlenn@PaulaMc007@C25802878@NCAlliance_NHS I don’t know how many times Paula has told you already but again, this poor patient never got to see a doctor.
The assisted dying bill is a political issue, doctors aren’t involved other than to give an opinion via their professional bodies.
@jabberwock951 I consistently refer to this when members of the MDT decide that the advanced dementia pt needs tight BP/BM control and I’m trying to stop them falling.
@medicalmodelbri@gmcuk@NHSEngland@rcgp I don’t understand this at all?
How are PAs who by definition, must always practice under a supervising doctor allowed to perform private medicine in any aspect, completely unsupervised?
I genuinely do not understand. Nurses are autonomous so I get that but PAs aren’t, so how?
Realistic and reasonable about what the country can afford?!😂
You’re paying assistants to doctors more than you’re pay doctors;
Day one pay in central London:
🔸Newly qualified Doctor:
£20.36 / hour
🔹Newly qualified Physician’s Assistant:
£28.86 / hour
That’s 41.75% more.

Just a few e.g. of the vile language @wesstreeting has used to publicly insult resident & senior doctors
Dear Wes - here’s a reminder of the NHS workplace bullying criteria…it seems you’re ticking a few boxes
@RespectIsVital Why would nurses do that? They can do a skimpy part-time 1/2 day a week ACP course fully funded by @wesstreeting@DHSCgovuk@NHSEngland & immediately earn band 7 salary rising to band 8a on completion with no robust exams, assessments signed off by chums, way more than Drs can!
Evening @danfurmedge
Congrats on your appointment
From a perspective of constructive progress I know a lot of medtwitter are concerned about your previous views of med students to now enthusiastically advocating for doctors?
Probably not unreasonable to address this?
🙏
