Enjoyed another great walk with the #SiSTARwood following the Green Chain. It's not about how far or fast but with whom and how. Connection and intimacy in and with nature @LondonNPC#NationalParkCity
#Mistletoe grows on host tree, tapping into it’s circulatory system. Revered by the Druids as a most sacred plant. In Norse mythology its a symbol of peace & friendship. Kissing custom is thought influenced by its assoc'n with fertility. RT & help us #CheerForGood@WildintheCity1
The #Partridge is a ground bird, unlikely to be seen in a #peartree! They can be seen in lowland farmland in England & East Scotland. We spotted these Red-legged Partridge feathers on arable land in #Croydon. Retweet to help us #CheerForGood@WildintheCity1
We had a great afternoon hosting our first winter social. Drinks and food by the fire. Making crafts & learning about surviving in winter and celestial navigation. Thanks to all who came.
This week we were coppicing Willow and re-laying the hedge around the lake at South Norwood Country Park – with a small bonfire to keep us warm at lunchtime
Our Founder & Nature-based Psychotherapist Beth Collier says "Nature is a significant other in our lives, if we're not in touch with nature we'll be affected by the loss." With 8.3 million people & 8.6 million trees in London there's plenty of hugs to go around #NationalTreeWeek
#NationalTreeWeek Come & find out how we turned Sycamore into this spoon & Willow into artists charcoal & how these Birch brackets could be useful to you in the woods; 2018 courses online https://t.co/fq5ZhV4zV0 Please RT & help us raise money thru #CheerForGood#croydon#nature
