Dear @MetroUK people don’t die because they lost their battle with cancer. They died because we don’t have treatments to cure them. I didn’t choose to get cancer. If it kills me it won’t be because I didn’t try hard enough. There is no cure for metastatic cancer. No-one wins.
Struggled through my first 5K in years, but worth it to support my gorgeous colleague and friend @EmmaKCross5 on her momentous last day of #emmas10kfor100days for @TeenageCancer
I am so lucky to work with such an amazing inspiration! ❤️💙
I've joined Teenage Cancer Trust's #NotOK campaign. Right now, many young people are facing cancer without the mental health support they need. That’s not OK. You can help us change it. https://t.co/vxAaUsuxvw
Missed out on a ticket to our Cheese & Wine Taster Session? You can still support young people with cancer and take part in our auction. From tasty Michelin star meal kits to VIP meet and Wimbledon tickets 🎾🍽

@KateCollinsUK@Theaistweeting@TeenageCancer So nice to get out for a walk and talk in the sunshine with you @KateCollinsUK! (And I did find my way home in the end 😂) definitely think Taking Stock day should be a regular feature 💕
@sammyandrews Absolutely agree. From a Canadian point of view, it's absolutely bizarre how normalised it is to follow these vitriolic 'papers' like actual news.
"What I want young women & girls to know is: You are powerful and your voice matters. You're going to walk into many rooms in your life & career where you may be the only one who looks like you. But you are not alone." Kamala Harris, the first female, black and Indian American VP
@KateCollinsUK Fully agreed! We don't know what we don't know, so it's always best to ask and be open to learning and growing from there. Thanks so much 💕
Really insightful points made by @angeyyb - I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the issues young people with cancer face, but I'm embarrassed to say that even as a minority myself, I hadn't thought of these additional obstacles specific to POC #BHM2020
#ShareTheMic lets others step inside someone else’s shoes. An insight to their voice. If you’d like to understand more about my experience with cancer as a young black woman this clip should help. Reminder: actions speak louder than words. #BHM2020#CancerAwareness
Make sure to keep an eye on @KateCollinsUK and #ShareTheMic today! Really excited to be hearing and learning from lots of talented black women across the charity sector, especially our very own @angeyyb 🎉 #BlackHistoryMonth
Excellent to chat today with @angeyyb who will be tweeting from my account as part of #ShareTheMic today. She'll be tweeting from lunchtime & is really looking forward to chatting with you all so pls do join in!
