Human rights activist, political leader, author and former Prisoner of Zion. Currently the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Combat Antisemitism Movement.
Last year, @LisaKatz1948 attended the Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism.
Shortly thereafter, she joined @CombatASemitism, where she now works with mayors and municipal leaders to combat antisemitism in cities around the world.
Well worth following.
Yesterday, I joined @
Rep. Mike Lawler and NYS Assemblyman Matt Slater for a roundtable discussion focused on tackling the rising tide of antisemitism. We must thank them for their true leadership and advocacy for the Jewish people. Congressman Lawler especially for sponsoring the Antisemitism Awareness Act that was overwhelmingly passed in the House. Yesterday’s dialogue was important and meaningful. I believe that by working together, we can combat antisemitism and truly make a difference. @CombatASemitism
The rampant disorder, thuggery and open support for terrorism during Shafik's watch at @Columbia will forever be a stain on this great university's reputation.
Academia withers when antisemitism and anarchy flourish. Her replacement must uncompromisingly shut them down.
🚩This morning, the Jewish COO of @Columbia, Cas Holloway was targeted with pro-Hamas death threats.
His door was smashed and painted with an inverted red triangle: a Hamas symbol used for death targets. Red paint was splattered on the building and crickets released in his home.
Seeing my story come to life in text has been an emotional journey. I never intended to write or speak out, but as a survivor of the October 7 massacre at the Nova Festival, I can no longer remain silent. Witnessing pro-Palestinian demonstrations, I feel compelled to share my truth and highlight what they are supporting. https://t.co/nYE4C6IJwX
Over the last six months, the brave soldiers of the IDF have dispelled all doubt about any weakness and indifference this generation of young Israelis might have had. They have fought for their values, shown dedication, and displayed a powerful love for the state of Israel and the Jewish people.
Today, we see how the Jewish students at Columbia University demonstrate that young American Jews are not scared and are not intimidated. They are proud and strong in defending Jewish people and the state of Israel.
Am Israel Chai!

Since surviving the Oct 7 terrorist attack at the nova festival I have made it my life’s mission to speak out against Hamas and be a voice for all those who no longer have a voice since that horrific day, all those who were murdered and taken hostage. This photo is just one of many examples of people trying to silence me. But I won’t stay silent.
Joe Lieberman was a great Jew and promoter of Jewish values, an outstanding politician and defender of human rights all over the world, and a great husband and father. He was also my very, very dear and precious friend.
Joe and his wife Hadassah built and maintained an exemplary, warm, Jewish orthodox home at the heart of political Washington. I think there were no Jewish causes in which Joe was not involved, from strengthening connections between Israel and the diaspora and fighting antisemitism, through the holocaust and the Babyn Yar Memorial center in Kyiv, to the Shabbat Olami initiative and many, many others. And at every turn, Joe brought into the discussion and into his work the same traits that shone so brightly in his home: his sense of humor, his good nature, and moral clarity. The last, in particular, shone especially bright in the confusing days surrounding President Clinton’s impeachment, when every politician looked to Joe for moral yet pragmatic guidance.
Joe was strong advocate for human rights around the world, and he was the one to represent America’s legislators in the historic meeting of democratic dissidents in Prague in 2007. His commitment to this cause, and his understanding that human rights are not only a moral value but also an American security interest, stood at the heart of his unique partnership with Senator John McCain. Joe, an orthodox jew and a democrat, traveled all over the world with John, a Christian republican, challenging dictators and supporting democratic dissidents.
It's sad to imagine a world without Joe in it. I hope the world will cherish his legacy of keeping high moral standards as a Jew and as a Politian. I know I do.
May his memory be a blessing.

At a @HillelIntl event I recently joined, a popular journalist was asked how Columbia University, where she studied twenty years ago, has changed. Her answer: if she had put on a T-shirt reading, “I am a Zionist,” no one would care. Today, such a student would face an angry mob.
I was thankful for the opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation with @bariweiss. Israeli society has proven it's internal strength, and the ability to fight both historic and contemporary manifestations of antisemitism.
Israel is strong and ready to defeat those seeking to destroy us.

Had the privilege yesterday of meeting with @natan_sharansky, the esteemed chair of our advisory board at @CombatASemitism and the inspiring Shira Ruderman, who directs the remarkable efforts of the @RudermanFdn.
Rob Peterson, a retired tennis pro and real estate developer, is proof that one person can make a huge difference.
Every day, Peterson wakes up, takes his stationary bike to a public spot and cycles up to 100 miles to show support for Israel and Jewish people, and raising awareness of antisemitism.
Since the October 7th attack in Israel, Peterson now rides to raise money for Operation Life Shield, an Israeli non-profit organization that builds bomb shelters in communities prone to rocket attacks.
“I plan to just keep on pedaling, as long as my body holds up,” he said.

It was truly an honor to join Maj. Gen. (res.) @almog_doron and @natan_sharansky. Thank you to the @JewishAgency for your incredible partnership and for all you do for the Jewish people around the globe.
While speaking at the American University this week on the current challenges faced in Ukraine, Russia and the Middle East that undermine our democratic values, I was glad to see so many young American students understanding the connection between attacks on Israel and attacks on freedom.
Together, we send a clear message: hatred and violence have no place in our societies. 🙅 Join Muslim and Jewish leaders TOMORROW as they discuss how we can join forces to halt this wave of anti-Jewish hate.

It has been 100 days since the Hamas horde killed, raped, beheaded, captured our people, and burned our homes in the largest and most sadistic pogrom in modern history. It only took a few hours for "progressive" organizations to call this "the beginning of a struggle for liberation." Only after two months of silence, some human rights and women's rights organizations were ready to condemn this largest pogrom. And some are still silent.
It is clear that this was genocide. However, it is not Hamas, but Israel, whose army is now fighting to destroy this evil and free its hostages, that is accused of genocide in the International Court in Hague. What could be more than a double standard towards Jews and the Jewish state, in other words—antisemitism? At the same time, we have quite a few friends; America has been with us from the first days, Germany has been with us in this process. We at CAM, on the hundredth day, unite our efforts with all our friends and allies in the fight against this evil.
