”What is striking is that the vast majority of the detained were, and remain, minors. The latest counts estimate children make up two-thirds of those detained in camps.”
It is a major international scandal that 30 000 children are held detained in camps! https://t.co/x5cshq0a3G
2. The Human Rights Award is not only a recognition of our efforts. It is also an important acknowledgment of these children, who were abandoned by Denmark at a time when they needed help the most.
We are incredibly happy that we have received the Human Rights Award 2024.
We are very proud and grateful to have been honored with such a prestigious award for our work in the fight to bring Danish children home from the Syrian detention camps.

"Jonas" panicked when he realized that his aunt would not be allowed to come to Denmark with him when he is brought home from the detention camp with his mother.
We have sent an appeal to @larsloekke for the family to be repatriated together.

Lyt her: https://t.co/HQuzvK6xwu #dkpol
RTC Denmark won in the Supreme court!
This is a long-awaited decision and the only conceivable correct one. The Supreme Court confirms that children have their own rights and that Denmark must comply with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
@RTC_DK 🌟
#dkpol

Det her er helt vildt !!!!
Han har været indespærret under umenneskelige forhold i over 5 år, selvom DK for længst kunne have taget ham hjem.
We are thrilled to announce that we have won the Benny Andersen Award! We are grateful to our supporters and team for helping repatriate the children from the brutal conditions in al-Hol and al-Roj. We will keep fighting for the rights of all children in the detention camps!
@MargreteAuken@NataschaRee@EP_Petitions will continue to fight for the Danish and European children, that are innocently detained in the prison camps.
The will not leave children to suffer and die in the camps. The will continue to pressure decision-makers in Denmark and internationally.

“No child should ever be punished for their parents’ actions or beliefs”
“We urge all States to immediately allow all children to return home from the camps and take measures to ensure their reintegration into society and accountability for the crimes they have suffered.”
The French advocacy group Collectif des Familles Unies statement after their visit to Northeast Syria is clear: the fate of the arbitrarily detained French citizens lies in the hands of the French government

Iraq has already repatriated 1,924 families from the detention camps, totalling 7.556 people.
When will Denmark offer the last Danish child and his mother evacuation?
