Some dreams take a little longer to come true.
Today, I begin my General Cardiology Fellowship, a milestone that means more to me than words can express. This isn’t just the start of another training program; it’s the opportunity to finish what I started years ago and finally complete a journey that has shaped who I am, both as a physician and as a person.
There were moments when I questioned whether I would ever make it here. But every setback became a lesson, every detour made me stronger, and every person who believed in me helped me keep moving forward. Looking back, I wouldn’t be standing here without the love and encouragement of so many people.
To my husband, thank you for standing beside me through every high and every low, for believing in me when I struggled to believe in myself, and for reminding me why I never gave up. ❤️
To my family, mentors, colleagues, and friends, thank you for your guidance, your patience, your kindness, and for cheering me on throughout this long journey. I will always be grateful.
I’m also thankful to begin this new chapter with our wonderful program coordinator, Michele, and my co-fellows, Dylan and Ayushi @ayushi_mohan . I’m excited to learn, grow, and support one another over the next three years.
Here’s to new beginnings, unfinished dreams finally becoming reality, and the privilege of caring for patients with heart diseases while continuing to learn every day.
The journey continues. ❤️
