I want to give you guys some facts about General Chappie James. He wasn’t a “DEI” hire—he was a complete badass that had to overcome MORE than any white pilot. Did 178 combat missions—that’s like 7 bomber tours on a B-17 in WWII.
His medal count? Impeccable. 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 14 Air Medals, Two Legions of Merit, and a Defense Distinguished Service Medal. One of the original Tuskegee Airmen, the first four-star African American General.
Hegseth couldn’t sniff the level of soldiering and warrior that was in Chappie’s DNA. God bless him. And Hegseth took down his picture from a hallway like a racist little child, which is what he is.
For decades, Bill Ritter has been a trusted presence in New Yorkers' homes, helping us make sense of the news that shape our city.
His courage in sharing his Alzheimer’s diagnosis will help countless families facing the same challenge feel less alone.
Wishing Bill, his loved ones, and everyone affected by Alzheimer's strength in the days ahead.
Chick Corea: Today I’m remembering the birthday of one of the truly great pianists in jazz, Chick Corea.
Chick’s contributions to the music were vast—through his bands, his compositions, and his unmistakable voice at the piano. Happy birthday, Chick.

Today, I qualified as the Democratic nominee for Florida's 8th Congressional District.
The woman who beat a Moms for Liberty founder in Trump +17 territory is taking on Mike Haridopolos for Congress.
Florida's 8th is in play, and we're just getting started.

"This Sunday night’s UFC spectacle on the South Lawn...captures something about this moment in our history.
It's vulgar, violent, commercial, grandiose, tacky, and it dishonors a place once thought worthy of care and respect. In other words, it’s Donald Trump."

This is Sad!
For almost 30 years, leaders from both parties have set politics aside to honor the women veterans who gave their lives for this country at Arlington National Cemetery.
Then Trump and Hegseth shut it down.
Why? Because the ceremony recognized women.
This is an insult to every woman who wore the uniform, served with courage, and sacrificed for this nation.
Yesterday, @demwomencaucus stood with the women veterans Trump and Hegseth tried to erase and held an event anyway.
We see you. We honor you. We thank you. 🇺🇸
Every now and then, I come across a photo that takes me right back to a young performer with big dreams who simply loved being on stage. Looking back, I’m filled with gratitude. Not for the accolades, but for the journey itself. ❤️
I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!
"It was pretty easy. He said 'Gav, I got the job, are you coming with me? I said alright, I'm with you. Pretty simple.'"

"GMac's a winner. He's coming in with the same mentality whether he's at Siena or Syracuse, he's looking to turn another program around."
I feel strongly about this: journalists have an ethical responsibility to call these election lies what they are. We just stop hiding behind the euphemistic “without proof.” Or democracy is fragile and under assault. Patrician journalistic niceties serve no one is a moment of crisis, not even journalism. We are called to reveal and convey truth. It starts with every interaction. It starts in the moment. It starts to their faces. It feels good to be free to do what I think is right.
BREAKING: Ken Paxton’s own lawyer just endorsed James Talarico:
“I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.
And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.
We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”
