Some people think that my fierce opposition to the woke left has been unnecessary and excessive. I actually think it hasn't been strong enough. That portion of the left and their cowardly enablers have committed several unforgivable crimes, chief among these is the destruction of language.

Words like "racist", "Nazi" and "misogynist" were incredibly useful for describing people who hated people of other races, worshipped Hitler and abused women.

Such people are, mercifully, a tiny fraction of our society. But they are real. They do exist.

And now, after a decade of the left using those words to describe normal people, a racist is someone who doesn't treat ethnic minorities as a special and sacred group, a Nazi is someone who doesn't think men with dicks should be allowed to fight women in a cage and a misogynist is someone who refuses to accept that men are the root of all evil.

The result?

Actual racists, actual Nazis and actual misogynists are now impossible to describe accurately. The tools we had for keeping them outside of the mainstream of society have been eroded.

The people who did this deserve all the scorn we can give them and more.

This is a problem with conservatives -- they suck when it comes to providing equal access. Every single conference I've been to, not one service offered. I've asked and have always been ignored. So, seeing a post like the one below makes me angry. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what the ASL interpreter is doing and to call it a "farce" is mind-boggling. His facial expressions and gestures convey emotion just as we change the tone in our voice to do so.

As for captions, I rarely come across a video on @X that is captioned. Last night, I turned on channel 11 to watch the fire news and no captions. It can be spotty. Also, not all ASL people use captions -- ASL is a different language from English.

There is nothing Woke here -- it's about equality of access.

On a deeper level, posts like this concern me: do our leaders have the right tone to lead all Americans? If any thing, this post gives credibility to the Left's arguments about the Right. This post did a lot of damage and I have serious doubts as the new administration comes into power.

Remember, the GOP was the party that passed ADA. Since then, it has failed.
