Skip Johnson's message to Oklahoma fans ahead of the College World Series Finals:
"Have the whole state that are Sooners to come up here."
"It's bigger than us. It really is. It's really about our state. It's really about being an OU Sooner. It's about all those details, being thankful, the president was here. We had Barry Switzer here. We had Bob Stoops, Jennie Baranczyk -- Trish, Toby Keith's wife was here. I hadn't seen her in a long time. And it brings tears to my eyes. And Josie and Roger Denny, I mean, John Mateer, our quarterback. I mean that's what's being an OU Sooner is about. It's about being a family. And the more those people can get up here and get it going, the better it is."
#Sooners:
🚨 Ilia Topuria just released a statement following the loss to Justin Gaethje last night
"Justin, congratulations. You said you’d leave your mark on my face… and you did.
You took the sight from my right eye in the first round, and by the end of the second, from my left too.
No excuses.
I had one of the best camps of my life. I came in sharp, prepared, and ready. Last night was your night.
That’s the nature of this game. Glory and pain walk side by side.
I’ll heal. I’ll rest. And I’ll return stronger, wiser, and far more dangerous.
And trust me… this story between us is far from over.
We will have our rematch."
@On3@SoftbalAmerica So the team that’s ranked #1 isn’t even leading the standings in their own conference? Oh and the team that’s ranked behind them is leading their conference. That makes sense.
This is weird.
I’m not mad at Parker, but this is weird.
Back in the day, if you transferred within conference you had to sit out for 2 years, all but ending your college career.
Now you can transfer to a rival in a day. What separated CFB from the NFL is tradition and loyalty.
Now, the CFB is just a watered down version of the NFL.
