MyFitnessPal has been becoming more and more restricted since they were sold off by Under Armor to Francisco Partners.

In October, they're going to make barcode scanning--a core part of the app since it was released in 2005--a subscription-only feature.

Add my voice to the chorus of people telling @MyFitnessPal to go pound sand. I've watched as a great app has progressively gotten worse with more ads, more annoyances, etc. This new push for premium is the last straw. My friends and I have discussed it and we are leaving MFP.

I recently placed an order on the direct store of @NintendoAmerica and had a problem. After three levels of escalation, no help was offered whatsoever. How sad and disappointing for a company that specializes in joy and fun. BUYER BEWARE! (I would recommend avoiding.)
