@ABC Sounds about right... sadly the things that make us human include social interaction. Without that, we begin to falter. I don't have a solution, just an observation.
Major breakthrough! One of the most famous problems in pure mathematics has been solved by a student in ONE WEEK. The so-called Conway Knot has been explained rigorously using topological geometry in 4 dimensions. Lisa Picarillo reminds us never give up on tough problems. #MTBoS
There's an ongoing social injustice that limits the access to higher maths for female and African-American students. If I correctly recall @joboaler, less than 15% of Maths Ph.D's awarded in a given year in American universities go to these demographics. What a counterexample!
@FHSheadmaster Leading "from the front" might work but only when you are present at the match. I'd like to be the leader who helped build agency and independence in the incredible SS who need to be tomorrow's leaders--who will save our planet, rescue our humanity and build a healthy future.
Tomorrow is the start of school for many.
Teachers, as you search for the perfect thing to make a difference in the lives of your learners, you won't find it on websites or on bookshelves or in your adorable Bitmoji classrooms.
Because, YOU are the thing.
Never forget that.
@ColbyFrantz what is a professional snd respectful way to ask about making a Zoom appointment on effective use of Pear deck & EdPuzzle? Paid, of course. (Hey, we can still write off 250$ or so per year, right?) Until Betsy decides thatβs excessive.smh
@DrP_Principal That's what kind of amazing people we have as teachers. Somehow, it brings a twinge of sadness to see that image. I'm really emotionally impacted by this, thank you for sharing what I would consider a piece of photojournalism.
Ever look up at night and feel small? Don't. Instead feel large. Atoms in our bodies trace to the remnants of exploded stars. We are Stardust. We are alive in the universe. And the universe is alive within us.
@SteinbrinkLaura@stevewoz @elementari_io I have some time this week- would you recommend my getting acquainted with the platform through a particularly good YouTube or a well-written book?
Also, can I briefly consult with you (10 min) later this Winter (via email or a call) on using @elementari_io with my 7/8 blended?
