A lot of elected leaders made the tipped wage compromise happen. Speaker Matt Hall, Sen. Kevin Hertel, Rep. Bill G. Schuette (who has already accomplished so much he doesn't even need the G. anymore), Sen. Sam Singh, SML Brinks, Rep. John Roth, Rep. Jay DeBoer, Sen. Nesbitt, etc. etc.

But I'll note that former Rep. Nate Shannon was with us from that tipped worker roundtable on a miserable hot day in Macomb County in summer 2024 until the former speaker's office finally allowed him to introduce his bill in lame duck-- which then died with no hearing. He came to our December capitol event (which someone tried to stop us from having) and spoke to a packed house despite getting threats. I made a mental note that day to remember and acknowledge it.
