Conn Smythe [Playoff MVP]: Dante The Don. This dude is like Sidney Crosby or better yet TB12 when he went to Tampa. Just when you think he’s going to fall off the face of the planet. He comes back better than ever like he’s got something to prove at the ripe age of 41. Could he have packed it in? Could he have said no? Yeah but some things are bigger than sports. Leaders lead. Winners win. The Don is the sergeant of the shore.

The Hart. Regular Season MVP. Nikki Smokes. Listen tough to argue and discount what this young man did for the entire show. 3 weeks of really solid play. Ultimately fell short when it mattered most to an experienced veteran. Helluva showing nonetheless. Smokes lived up to his name. The Broward County native is going to feel like he’s breathing thru a coffee stirring straw for the next 6 weeks with the amount of darts he consumed. Selfishly, my favorite player.

Calder Memorial Rookie of the year: Mike Katic. The Krawler was signed as an unrestricted free agent after going undrafted and overlooked during his college campaign and my god did his stock rise to the top like Apple in 2012. A lovable big goofy bastard that could rip your heart out at any minute if needed. Truly made a name from himself in his rookie debut. A rising star that very well could be a household name for years to come.

Vezina: Awarded to the best goalie. Oona. Only Jesus saves more than this fine woman. You couldn’t score on her if you had a 10 foot pole. Was great between the pipes the entire show. Nobody got close. A highly technical netminder in her own right that holds herself to a high standard. Any shot she faced it was instantly shut down and covered. Shades of a young Patrick Roy. Respect.

Norris Trophy. Best defense of the show. Danny Conrad. He had eyes on Jackie before the show even started and despite a couple instances week 1 involving a fellow coworker getting a little handsy with his gal Jackie, he stood strong. Hit piece highlight tapes, public service announcements walking to work and even confronting intruders. This man held firm and relied on instinct. Really really sticky d. Incredible to watch that type of Bruce Bowen like shut down defense. Neutralized any attack from whatever angle.

Lady Bing: The nice guy of the show. The player who personifies sportsmanship. Tommy Smokes. The self proclaimed Americas sweetheart was the shoulder anyone could lean on when called upon by his teammates.

Rocket Richard: [Most Goals] aka most “whacks”. I am unconfirmed on this. I think a few of the competitors were in the clubhouse with a confirmed 1 bell ring on their resume but did Tommy get 2? Did the Don take the screws to that only fans chick with a Brazzers like set in her humble beach house abode? We will await confirmation on that. Speaking with league officials now.

Bill Masterton: Come back player of the year. Bri Chicken Fry. Look let’s face it, she’s had a very trying calendar season and regardless what you think of her.. after turning down an alleged 12 sheets, getting publicly scrutinized and everything in between I thought her game was strong. A great bounce back after a whirlwind type of year. Glad she’s back playing the game she loves. It’s about having fun again and when you’re having fun your game usually translates.

As a fan of the show, congrats to all the competitors and cast members on a bender to remember forever.. That ain’t easy.
